Theatrical Conference

The interactive performance, or theatrical conference, is a one-man show theatre play about the fear of mathematics, conceived for an audience of students and teachers of primary and secondary schools (8 – 14 years old). The performance was written with an innovative method that involved multiple points of views and contribution from experts and participants to the project, including first-hand experiences from students and teachers. The play addresses in a simple and ironic way the role of fear and other emotions in learning mathematics and explores with the audience the concrete obstacles that fear generates in mathematical reasoning. The play has been staged in Italy, Portugal, Greece, Norway and is available to be performed in schools in the four countries and in Europe.
